TDC4 Series  

The TDC4 models combine video verification capabilities with the superior detection and measurement performance of the TDC3 Series. Thanks to the standard RS 485 interface that supplies both image and traffic data, no costly infrastructure upgrades are necessary to start taking advantage of image-verified traffic management.

The TDC4 Series is a family of advanced traffic detectors using Doppler radar, ultrasound and passive infrared in combination with a video camera for enhanced verification capabilities. Comprehensive traffic data including individual vehicle class, speed, length, occupancy time, time gap and snap shot picture are provided via RS485.

ADEC TDC4 Series detectors are specifically designed for a variety of traffic data collection and traffic control applications where inductive loops have been used in the past, data accuracy is vital and visual verification is desired:

  • Visual verification of irregular traffic situations
  • Adjustable maximum speed systems on highways
  • Automated, temporary break-down lane use for increased highway capacity
